Hey Guys, I need some help locating a stator winding for an older Miller Bobcat 225G, serial KE611922, stock 903125. The windings are burned in a couple of places and I need to know if there is a replacement stator available or if it would be more reasonable to have the stator rewound. I am in Houston. I just found the burned out areas of the windings last night. I know there is someone or more than one on this site that can help out with the right info. Thanks in advance.Larry GarzaGarza Custom Fabrications
Reply:Is that a straight up 225G or a 225G Plus? Makes a difference.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:In either case, it's highly unlikely you'll find a new one and I would suggest contacting forum member Larry Burross at Applied Equipment in Dallas to see if he can help you out with a used unit.2515 Cartwright St.Dallas, Tx 75212214-630-9353 phone214-630-9354 fax888-630-9353 toll-free214-577-9353 cell786-629-9353 computerEmail: [email protected] he can't help then I suggest you contact Eurtron http://eurtonelectric.com/ who does quality rewinds. Would require shipping the old one to California.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!

Reply:Aside from a facelift and slightly wider frame, the two things I'm aware of is a 50A 240V outlet (Plus) vs. the 35A of the G only and the CV and CC electrode taps of the G are one in the same on the Plus with the changeover handled by the Range and Polarity switches. As for the value of your Bobcat / feeder package, that would depend on what the market will bear in your area but considering its excellent condition and low hours I've got to say . . . somewhere around $2.5K?MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Duane, thanks for the info. I will give Larry a buzz and see if he can help. I don't want to have to try and find someone to rewind the stator, but I guess that would be a positive way to know I had a good one. Thanks again.
