Reply:Just going by proportion to gap but it seems you have a very thin land. Maybe just the pics.
Reply:I'm interested in this too. Gap filling is a challenge I encounter often enough, like when I screw up and blow through, or when drilling and filling holes to join two larger pieces.Hey~!! It's a hobby. It's not supposed to make sense~!!
Reply:Well... from the looks of it... go with a 1/8 land and gap... turn your heat to about 85 for a 1/8 6010... Now with your whip... go with an upwards motion almost a lazy L/saw tooth weave that would allow the top of the pipe to get penetrated a little more to avoid the undercut the upward motion to the unwelded section and then return to the keyhole to fill... and make sure you have an even push motion going in at 90 degrees...
Reply:Looking at your pic...... It doesn't look like you have enough root face on your joint preparation....ensure you have a 2mm root face..... Remember preparation is keySent from my iPad using TapatalkUsing Tapatalk |
