Hello i am buying a plasma cutter trying to pick one , i have all miller stuff now so i'm looking at a extreme 625 or should i get a hypertherm or thermal dynamics i know that the hyperterm is more money but don't want to have any problems with the unit . have a bobcat with 300 hrs and had the slip ring break free off the rotor shaft . machine out of warranty. so just want a solid unit thanks
Reply:The Hypertherm units are usually less expensive as compared to a Miller with similar power output....and the Hypertherm's have a more advanced torch technology. Try them all out! If you need any help with specs....what unit compares with what unit, I'll be happy to help.Jim Colt
Reply:I have had pretty good luck with the thermal dynamics unit that would be my choice.Vantage 300 kubota ,miller 304 xmt ,lincoln ln 25 pro , ranger 305 G, plenty of other tools of the trade to make the sparks fly.
Reply:Thermodynamics and Hypertherm are the two best out there. I would pick from one of them over any other brand. Just make sure you get the power output you need and have a supply of good dry air.Miller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.

Reply:Hypertherm. I just bought a Powermax 45 and love it.
Reply:X 5 ..... Hypertherm
Reply:If I had it to do again I would get the Miller Spectrum 625 X-treme.http://www.millerwelds.com/products/...m_625_x-treme/
Reply:hypertherm is the mother and father of ALL......and what others wish they could be , ther are a few other close followers , but why even mention them thermal arc 252i - millermatic 350P - miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs - Hypertherm 1250 G3
Reply:HyperTherm....I have a PowerMax 45 and it is a very nice machine. No comparison to the Chinese junk. (I know from experience)
Reply:I have been very pleased with my Thermal Dynamics plasma. Nothing bad to say about it. Hypertherm is a quality machine as well, as are the ESAB plasma cutters.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720
Reply:I am also getting ready to buy a new machine. The guy at our welding supply house says that the only problems they have had with Hypertherm is usually bad or improperly installed consumables. There is no failure...only feedback
