I added a piece for the bottom of the bottle so it couldn't slide out since so many people recommended it. I don't have any Lincoln equipment but I liked the red. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I had started with the diamond plate sitting on top of the shelves but I didn't like it so I cut the supports out and lowered them so the plate would be recessed a little bit. I can't wait for the paint to dry so I can get everything hooked up and put it back in the garage. Attached Images

Reply:Great looking and nice paint job. A MILLER machine isn't gonna match too good. You might want to protect that pretty floor before you start welding on it.
Reply:It looks great, but I would need something a little bigger.

Reply:Thanks for the comments. I actually have a Hobart 210 mvp and Hypertherm plasma cutter so the color scheme is definately off. I almost painted it orange or silver but i thought red would have a clean look to it. I kind of wish i would have went with orange though LOL.

Reply:Great looking cart AND you're getting a plasma cutter??? Green with envy!GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.I bought the powermax 30 and 2 days later the 30xp was announced so I sold the 30 and ordered the xp. A guy from the Cleveland TX area got a good deal on the 30 with a bunch of consumables and a few other things. I kind of wish I would have just kept the 30 and started using it.
Reply:From what I read you would be happy with either one. I'm still looking for a torch to borrow to test the Max42 I think I fixed.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:Nice cart, but why build them so heavy. When I got a chance at work the other day I replaced my pos cart with a more light weight version that had 4 swivel casters on it. I'm not a pro welder by any means actually see what I do as the bottom of the food chain as a welder, I weld cages onto the frames of trailers for someone else up the line to put the sheetmetal to and someone has a nice enclosed trailer. I drag my cart around with me for 10hrs a day with a 30lb feeder on it plus wire too with 30feet of gas, remote, and hot line tagging along behind it. I can be welding on a small 5X8 trailer one minute and have to do a 7X20 the next, sheding every pound on a cart you have to push/drag around for 10hrs a day makes a world of difference.93 Bobcat 225GMillerMatic 135HF Tig 91811

Reply:Can you discuss how you connected the larger rear wheels to your cart? Did you use a solid axle than runs the entire width of the cart or did you weld small axles to the sides? I'm in the process of making a cart very similar to yours but unsure of how to fit up the larger wheels. One other option is to use large bolts instead of round stock but I've heard this option isn't ideal.
Reply:I used a solid axle that's 5/8" thick. I cut 2 short pieces of 1" square tubing and welded the axle inside of it to get the right height for the front wheels. I use the tubing so it extends about an 1/8" off the frame of the cart and use a washer between the wheel and the 1" tube so the wheels rotates without hitting the frame.
