homemade press brake need advice

Got the idea to make an attatchment for the press I am also making from offroadswag. I have a piece of 1" thick by I think 4" wide piece of steel that I plan on grinding an angle into but am unsure of what angle to use. I'm thinking 45 since I'm gonna be using some 1/4" 1x1 angle to press the metal into.93 Bobcat 225GMillerMatic 135HF Tig 91811
Reply:It would be 45 deg each side or 90 deg included. Reply:When i build mine I'm going to weld square bar to the "blade" so it can be replaced when it deforms. I think it will be easier than grinding it down.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:If you are thinking about pressing into the angle you will not get a 90 degree bend. Reply:I have a HF 20 ton press that I made a metal brake for. I did 1/4''x6'' flat no problem. I also added a gate valve handle to the pressure  release and it is easier and a time saver.
