Reply:Yeah it's tough to weed out the spammers if they start out plying by the rules. It's one of the trade offs vs the way we were doing it a while back where Zap or Stan had to hand vet each new member.I know I won't just arbitrarily ban some one for spam if they simply copy others text. They do get noted and extra attention is paid to them. Same goes for posts like this one. As soon as they post their 1st clear spam post though, everything they posted goes in the hopper and then the ban hammer drops.There's been a small pick up in spam, but most get nuked pretty quick when they pop up and get reported. It's no where near as bad as when Steve and I started. I'd spend well over an hour banning spammers every time I signed on. Many times I wouldn't even get done and I'd have new ones to ban..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
