Which welder to buy

Hello,I am trying to decide on which welder to buy....the Lincoln AC-225 or the......Lincoln AC/DC/  225/125.  I have used an  AC-225 many times before, but have never used the AC/DC version.  I have been told that the DC is much smoother to weld with and that I would never want to weld AC again !!!!!  Don't really know what to think since I have never welded with DC current.  Anybody out there want to give me their opinion ?  ThanksBeadhead
