Need help with a 100HD wire feed welder

Hello, I'm relatively new to welding. Only experience I really have is from highschool metal shop class. Well I have a Lincoln 100HD wire feed welder and today when I was using it the wire broke off inside the cable. Its not close enough to either end of the cable to grab and try to pull it out. We've tried feeding more wire through but it just gets stopped by the wire thats stuck inside. We've run out of ideas, so if anyone has any advice or suggestions, I'd really appreciate them. Reply:It usually takes a little longer to feed wire through than you expect. Maybe you haben't fed it through long enough to push it out. However, if you have. I would suggest opening the door on the welder and winding the spool up. This will pull out the wire from the welder and gun.
Reply:I've tried both of those, but neither seemed to work. Eventually the wire actually broke on the part on the inside of the welder so there is no wire to grab from the inside. So theres no wire sticking out of the gun end or the on the inside of the welder. Thank you for the suggestions though.
Reply:Sounds like you need to pull the liner and replace it.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:Do you have your manual?  Remove the liner if you do not have access to the wire from either end.  Then, you might be able to remove the wire by flexing it, or you'll have to just buy a new liner.
Reply:Once you get the liner out, lay it flat and straight and find something to poke the wire with. Maybe a steel coat hanger or something like that. It depends on how big the liner I.D. is. Some times this works, other times..... well, you had to get it out to change it anyway.
Reply:No, I dont have a manual. I saw people posting on here about downloading manuals off of the lincoln website, but when I looked there for them I couldn't find any. Thank you for the suggestions! I'll defenetly try that and hopefully it will work.
