Hello everyone, I am new here and I would like to ask a couple questions about a hobart welder that I have. It is a Hobart G-235 twin cylinder wisconsin engine that runs, but theres no a/c or d/c output from the generator anymore. I've used it in the past and it had a better and more stable arc than a comparable miller that I use at work. I have seen many "re-energizing tips" on several searchs online, and I will have to get the machine running again to try them. But I would like to try to find a service manual, or be able to find out what all of the "transformers" or "diodes" are around the generator itself. Come to think of it, all of the things online have said to flash by back-charging the outlets on the machine either with another genny unit, or with household current. But will that also flash the weld circuit? I dont know anything about generators and would appreciate any ideas. Thanks. Mellon |
