I'm making a stick welding stinger for my Power Mig and need to get some lugs for the end of the cable. Is there a standard size for the lugs on these machines or does it vary? Not near my machine at the moment so I can't check myself.Lincoln PowerMIG 350mpEverlast PowerTIG 210EXT Hypertherm PowerMax45You merely adopted the iron, I was born in it, molded by it.
Reply:Get a tweco quick connect. This is what I had on my Powermig 300 for running stick.Last edited by AKweldshop; 07-17-2015 at 06:04 PM.Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Reply:The lugs in the machine are 1/2" I use short whips of cable with female Tweco's to connect the stick and work cables. Less mechanical stress on the lugs and no need to leave the door open.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
Reply:Thanks guys. I just got some 1/2 lugs for now.Can I leave the stick lug attached to the stud and stack the mig lug on top of that or should only one be attached to the stud at one time? I realize the stick and mig would be hot all of the time.Lincoln PowerMIG 350mpEverlast PowerTIG 210EXT Hypertherm PowerMax45You merely adopted the iron, I was born in it, molded by it.
Reply:Yes, that's how I do it, no problems.A few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
