Looking for a Miller model 3035 spoolgun for my mm185 mig. Thanks
Reply:According to the Miller spoolgun hook up chart, that MM185 is going to require a Spoolmate 185 and the appropriate kit. Reply:The machine came with a spoolgun so the kit is already installed. The previous owner didn't want the spoolgun and sold it. According to the owner's manual on Miller's site it uses the model# 3035, part# 195016.
Reply:In spite of what the Miller spool gun hookup chart says, it appears the Spoolmate 185 and Spoolmate 3035 are one in the same gun. Reply:I have the MM185 and mine is the 3035 spoolgun. Mine was old enough I had to get the kit to hook up the spoolgun. Miller sent it out at NC when I bought the spoolgun at the LWS..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:I see now where that would be the case as in looking at both the Spoolmate 185 and 3035 guns they are identical in fit, form and function. I was merely going by the Miller spool gun hookup chart that lists the SM185 for the MM185 and the 3035 for different welders. Reply:Northern tool has the HH210 spoolgun, model# DR-3035-10 on sale for 199.99.Which I believe is the same spoolgun. Darrell
Reply:Hi ChrisR,did you ever get the spoolmate you asked about? The reason I ask is that I just noticed the reply that Duaneb55 posted in one of my threads about adapting my 185 to a MM250. I agree with the advice I was given to hold out and get a beefier gun as I will be getting into some heavy duty aluminum welding.
