Reply:its bogging down, not normal.
Reply:as sone as I start it, its bogging down
Reply:does it go to idle63' Lincoln SA200 2008 miller trailblazer 302fibre-metal pipelinermiller camo BWEand all the guns and ammo a growin boy needs
Reply:its not like when you start it and its at high idle. it starts and then bogs down. to me that doesn't sound right!
Reply:If by boggong down, you mean that that the idler goes immediately to low idle, that might be just an adjustment issue.  I looked over this manual, from Lincoln's web site, for the old vacuum engine regulator that was used on the old short-hood SA-200shttp://content.lincolnelectric.com/p..._IMS/IM117.pdfI have very little experience with that device, but it appears to me that it will begin to pull to low idle as soon as the engine starts, an long as no welding load is applied.  I don't see any adjustment for a time delay, except by partially closing the valve.  That would be a very sensitive adjustment!  I suspect there is some kind of time delay adjustment, but the manual is pretty poor, more a parts list than anything else.Maybe one of the folks around here with some hands-on experience with that device can jump in here and share some of their valuable knowledge.Cheers,Bob
Reply:ihad a redface with the r-57 idler on it. It had a adjuster for the vacuum it needed to idle down. I was always adjusting it so I could get a 10-15 second delay. I scrapped that system for the weldtron kit and never looked back.
Reply:i cant find an upgrade for the l-2299 bellows
Reply:check this link out. I replaced the whole r-57 soleniod with the new weldtron soleniod and pc board. It works great!http://www.weldtron.com/
Reply:yea, but they dont make a upgrade for the l-2299 bellows. I dont have the r-57 idler. i wish i did, i would have allready bought the upgrade. ok, had the welder running and hooked up the wires, all but one. i had the high side hooked up and when i touched the wire to the low side, not much arc. but when i touched the wiper (center hook up), i get the bog but get the good arc.'55 sa200
Reply:what are the part # so maby i can get that system going on my unit?
Reply:is it the Weldtron-57, R-57 idler Replacement Kit WT-70520 for $315.35
Reply:found one at hybriweld.com
Reply:Hey Tom,      Since you talked to Tom at Hybriweld, you probably already know this, but just in case, you can put the R57 on your machine. If you go the way you are thinking, the case is all you need since it is used only as a bracket. That will bolt onto your machine without modification. If you use one of the other kits, the solenoid goes elsewhere so you don't need the R57 (bracket).    weldersales
Reply:You're on the right track now. Every old 200 that's a working machine should have the idler updated to electronic. A guy could get by in the backyard or on the farm with an old idler but it's not worth it on a real job.JTMcC.
