Opinion on new welder purchase - Lincoln power mig 200

I havent welded seriously in years. I took a class in high school for a couple years and I have stick welded a few times, but I came across this welder and thought I would get it for my project.First the project: Im building a 1991 F250 4x4 truck. I am welding 1/4" plate to the frame for various supports and I am also wleding 1/4" plate on the axle housings and tubes for trussing strength. Now the Wlder: I came across this Lincoln power mig 200 this guy had. It has aonly been used a couple of times (looks really clean). It came with two full tanks of argon/CO2 mix, one tank is about 5ft tall and the other tank is about 2ft tall. It also came with an autodarkening helmet, which I have never used to this point. I got everything for $800. I have tried to look up information on this welder online, but lincoln doesnt have anything on their website about it. My questions are:1) Was this a good deal2) Is this welder suitable for my project above3) Is this a descent welder? If so, why cant I find anything on it anywhere?Thanks for the input and helping us newbs learn about welding.

Reply:Heres a link to a manual on the Lincoln Power Mig 200 and another to an article on it. Sounds like a good deal with the two tanks. Should be more than enough power to weld what you described and then some. Reply:Thanks for the feedback. I was wrong about the cylinder sizes. 1 cylinder is about 5'6" and the other is almost 4' tall. These are full of the 75/25 mix. hanks for the manual link, that will definitely come in handy. Did Lincoln quit making these or something? I couldnt find anything on their website. If they did stop making these I wonder why?

Reply:I have (2) PowerMIG 200's and absolutely love them. Reply:Only negative I've heard on the PM 200 is the output on a few of the taps is a little on the hot side. Also heard  , this issue was cured on the PM 215.
Reply:It looks like a great machine for auto body and frame/chassis work. What accessories should I consider buying for this machine? What would I need to weld aluminum? I would like to do some aluminum diamond plate welding (1/4" stuff) and then just the chassis/frame stuff. Is it possible to weld patch panels on the body with this welder or is it too much welder for that? Is there any special wire I should use for the sheet metal patch panels and the aluminum? Thanks again for the info
