Needed a 4'x4' landing and stairs at 2 entrances for my new home. Apparently the $100,000.00 I am paying these azzholes doesnt cover that. Now, a "normal" person would just go an spend $300 each on a wooden kit and put it together.Fvck that. Larp aint normal and he dont do wood. So.Bits and pieces scavenged from work and the scrapyard. All welded together with 6010 (aka too lazy to clean rust rod) and hobart titan 8. Still need to add hand rails yet.Fiance' gets to paint them.If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Reply:I don't get why they are so high and elevated off the ground. Do you need them to access the roof easily? Lincoln Power Mig 216Lincoln AC/DC-225/125Miller 625 X-Treme PlasmaMiller 211 Forney 95FI-A 301HF 91110Victor Journeyman O/PMilwaukee DaytonMakita Baileigh NRA Life Member

Reply:I did something similar to this. Only I built mine in place, because I concreted the legs into the ground for better support.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...nt-Porch-StepsThere is a product called "Rust-Kill" you can get at Sherwin-Williams that you can spray or brush on that will stop the rust. It reacts with the rust and turns it black when dry. I applied two coats of Rustoleum for rusty metal after using this, and two coats of Rustoleum Hunter Green, to the front steps I built. No signs of rust bleeding through yet. The side steps, I had the grating sand blasted, then primed and painted, but the blasting cost more than the Rust-Kill for a smaller amount of grating. No rust on those step either, yet. You don't want to have to go back every few years to repaint when the rust starts bleeding through. So do it right the first time. What do you have to set these on to keep them from sinking in the ground? Put up some pics when they are installed and painted. How are you going to move them to their respective places?
Reply:That white building looks like about what you get in this area for $100K. Did they forget to but the blocks under your new home before they took the wheels back? .No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
