Had to tig up a aluminum frame for this fire hose thing so it would sit in the back of there bed, I'm not quite sure what the heck it was called but I welded it up, before it was just on a pallet all done with it now. Also here's a little aluminum bead i put on a fly fishersmans boat where it had cracked fixed her up he was happy, to bad I don't get paid for any of this ha.Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
Reply:That looks like a removable setup for a brush fire truck. I assume that is a water tank. It let's them use a 4wd pickup for fighting brush fires. A regular pumper is too heavy and may well get stuck in soft ground.
Reply:Yeah it was for a normal 4wd pickupSent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
Reply:Why don't you get paid? Time to find a real job!
Reply:Work is slow here where I live I've went to every shop in town only way to get hired is if your family runs the business it seems and because they pay for your material to learn etc.Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
Reply:brush truck skid unit, holds about 200 gallons of water pretty effective for slowing down small brush fires until you can get enough personnel there to rake a fire line.93 Bobcat 225GMillerMatic 135HF Tig 91811

Reply:this is a removable fire suppression system, tank to hold aqua, pump, hose and hose reel. its really common setup pretty effective we have 1 none removable system and 2 removable 1 half ton setup and 1 3/4 ton setup. usually we have a platform to sit or stand in with squirting water. pretty nice welds man, these things can get pretty heavy. we learned this the hard way when we welded one up our selves and used mild carbon steel instead of aluminum soo it weighted A LOT...
Reply:Thats pretty small for a pickup truck. Although a different business our water tanks look to be 2/3 bigger than that. I would think they would want as much water as possible on those trucks. This is our smaller tank.

Reply:A lot of those are for spraying that sticky foam retardant. Spray out buildings and the like before the fire and leave. Every body that has a pickup and wants to be self employed sets their self up like that around here. They set around all summer long waiting for a fire so they can run out there and pedal their cure."The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt |
