Reply:Many of the older manuals didn't have diagrams, or didn't have diagrams for accessories. If you have no luck finding what you need in the manual, try contacting Lincoln. There is a contact us link on the main web site www.lincolnelectric.com...or you can call them at 216-481-8100. ask for Customer Service Troubleshooting. They can email or fax diagrams.Good luckBob
Reply:Hi, I have the 250/250 TIG Stick version. The link below is to the manual for my welder. The 250/250 is virtually the same machine with the exception of the capacity. I think you 'll find that the wiring diagrams are almost identical The code number for my machine is 8809 and the manuial number is M315.You should check the wiring diagram If you can pint the manual pages showing the diagrams yo can blow them up so that you can read hem as they are quite small. The modifications that you mentioin should be changed back to normal. I can't imagine why someone would change the wiring on the remote switch qand foot pedal. The pins on the remote cable that connects the foot pedal to the face of the machine are: Pin 1 to declining side of 10K ohm p[otentiometer (blue wire) Pin 2 to common terminal of 10K ohm potentiometer. (brown wire) pin 3 to increasing side of 10K ohm potentiometer. (red wire) pin 4 to one side of the remote switch (white wire) pin 5 to the other side of the remote switch ( black wire) pin 6 not used, although sometimes they have a 6 conductor cable. Note that there are two 3KV .0047 microfarad capacitors inside the foot pedal. One is across pins 1 and 2 and the other across pins 2 and 3. These are called by-pass capacitors and I believe they protect the circuitry from excess voltage spikes. If you can find the code number for your machine, Lincoln will have the manual, even though the machines have been discontinued. It's a great welder. I hope you can get it fixed. I sure like the one I have~!Hope this helps. http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...et.asp?p=31785Last edited by gnm109; 07-08-2007 at 12:48 PM.Miller Millermatic 252Miller Syncrowave 200Liincoln AC-DC 225Victor O-A Set |
