Well I finialy got fire out of the old girl after I found that someone had been in the mag. and disabled the points .Now I cant get any gas to go through the carb. Thmachine sat for a few years and the carb most likley needs to be rebuilt . I dont know about an updraft carb. How are they and are they hard to deal with ? If any body has any info I would appreciate it alot .Thanks . O By the way when I sprayed starting fluid in it she did fire off a couple times .Thanks ....
Reply:Disassemble the carb, clean it, blow compressed air through ALL the holes and put it back on. It should run. There is no magic in a carb, especially an updraft. DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Thanks . Do you know how to tell how old the machine is ?The outside has been painted grey .It looks like the front where the switchs are was black and white . It has a delco reme starter , the exaust manufold says red seal .The round part that sticks out the front sticks out about 11 or 12 inchs or so .Thats about all I know about it . I was the last person to weld with this mach. about 4 or 5 years ago . Thanks again and have a nice day ...
