Hey Guys,I got lucky Thursday but it changed tonight....Wednesday night I was welding aluminum with my TB and HF box, somewhat in the rain. The TB stopped output of weld current. I attempted to trouble shoot and found fuse F2 had opened up. I replaced but did not solve problem. Took TB to NW repair shop. The tech said the control board probably fried but after diagnosing, the capacitor that services the exciter had shorted. He replaced it with a newer version off of a newer board. My TB was manuf. in '99 but has only 150 hrs. He also serviced the TB, calibrating the engine speeds/output, frequencies, etc.......The TB runs and welds better than ever,.....Until tonight. While in mid weld, Tigging aluminum, I heard the TB engine stutter briefly and then the A/V output increased greatly. I decreased output at panel from 150 to 50 with very little or no change. The foot pedal would still vary but all way to hot. Anyone ever experienced this? Looks like another trip to repair shop in the morning.Miller TrailBlazer 251Miller HF-250-1Miller MaxStar 150 STLHyperTherm PowerMax 380 plasmaLincoln PowerMig 180Millermatic 252Miller Diversion 180 |
