Welders Miller or Lincoln????

Kinda new at this stuff .. Thinking about buying a welder, not sure which one to go with, Lincoln ranger 305, or the Miller 302 trailblazer, i have welded with the Lincoln and i really like it but never tried the miller, thanks for your thoughts:

Reply:Miller offers an AC and the Lincoln don't, other than that it is a Ford VS Chevy question, they are both good machines. I like lincoln engine drives but I own a Miller because I found a good deal and it does a great job. Reply:x2 on the search.  And what processes do you plan to use it for?  "Thinking about buying a welder" could be interpereted as "I've never had a welder before but I want one."  If so, what made these two machines your choices?I've never welded with the Ranger, but you have.  You've never welded with the TB, but I have owned two and still own one.  My 2009-year TB is a great multi-process machine that I've had zero problems with.  My first one (bought in 2006) gave me constant problems with idling down - it wouldn't about half the time.  Miller's warranty service was timely but they never really got the problem fixed.The TB has been a good investment for me, and is the heart of my mobile business.  The weld quality is good, it's lightweight, has plenty of 110V and 220V power, and runs my Suitcase wire feeder and spoolgun just fine.I would buy it again if I had it to do over.
Reply:That rite i never had a Welder before just use the one the company has that work for rite now that is a lincoln ,, but now i wanna rig my own truck, i live in a small town so those two welder are the only option i have if i wnna buy local, they cost about the same, so just wondering what other professional welders think what is BEST ... Reply:It's like Tbone said, what process it is going to be used for. I would like to have the light weight machine but I do a good bit of carbon arc with mine and I needed more machine.
