Just called my LWS to ask about a TA 251 and he said they didn't have any in stock but they could order one. He said they have a used Fabricator 250 that rated a 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10....I have never heard of a Fabricator 250, only the 251. Does anyone know of, or have any info on this machine???
Reply:Yes, 250amp 50% duty cycle, has the Co2 "and" mixed gas taps, much better "stitch" timing settings for sheet metal, trigger lock, burnback with 16 volt settings (actually 32 if you count the inductance taps). It has a cheesy looking little wire feeder inside but they hold up well. Built in OZ.Solid machine.Matt
Reply:Built in OZ????
Reply:They are asking 950.00 for it. Does this seem like to much for an older welder? After doing some reading, I now know what you were talking about Matt when you said built in OZ......Australia lolLast edited by teleman37; 03-23-2011 at 04:31 PM.Reason: more info
Reply:Well, I think I just stole this welder....talked them down to 750.00 out the door! The salesman said the gentleman that traded this in had not even ran a complete spool of wire through it. He traded it in on a Tig welder.
Reply:I have never used a Thermal Arc welder before so I'm kind of anxious to fire it up and play with it. I have used just about every other type of mig out there so I will have some idea of how it welds compared to the rest. |
