I purchased a HF gear driven planetary ring roller a month ago. It is already showing major wear, partly my fault, partly the fact that it is HF cheep. No matter I have already gotten my moneys worth out of it, however I am soon going to need to replace it. I am guessing with the learning curve out of the way this one should last longer but I want one a bit nicer than the HF model. THe one from HF is $69, the next cheapest one I found on line was almost $600 , First off is the $600 one worth the price? Are there other options? I have been using this for various round stock up to 1/4" and for 1/8" flat stock, but if the machine would do bigger I'd go bigger.
