Has anyone used something like this?http://www.lathemaster.com/Benchtop%20Bandsaw.htmI am looking around at the various options for cutting metal pieces for when I get my welder. I was leaning toward the Milwaukee 6190-20 14 in. Dry-cut saw, but it might be more saw than I need, plus blades expensive. I don't want anything too big it will just be for hobby type projects in the garage. This looks like a hybrid of a portable band saw and chop saw clamp.
Reply:I bought mine several years ago and have been very happy with the little machine. They do use a blade that is a little thicker (.025) vs standard .020 portaband blade and you will actually find those at HF under the Morse brand. This machine is perfect for what you'll need it for and weighs about 40 lbs so it is easily portable.
Reply:I was considering the HF saw but I think I look into this one instead, nice find. |
