Good Day all,My old bbq grill has had it and the prices here in Canada are quite expensive - so I thought I'd make a new stainless steel grill. I was thinking of using 1/4" round 302 stainless. I have some lincoln 3/32" E309-16/E309-16L electrodes but I'm not sure if they're the best fit since they are primarily used to join SS to mild steel I think. I did find this in the Lincoln SS welding guide "302B and 309 grades are generally welded with E309-XX electrodes."I'm looking for any alternate suggestions on the type of stainless and which electrodes I should use or confirmation that my existing plan should work. Thanks,Matt
Reply:The last one I did was 309 filler on 304 material. Seems fine. Stick sounds a little messy for those tiny little welds though. Mine was TIG.SqWave 200Millermatic 190Airco 200 ACHypertherm PM45Boice-Crane Band SawVictor O/A

Reply:It's expensive. I just wanted a grill that won't rust away.SqWave 200Millermatic 190Airco 200 ACHypertherm PM45Boice-Crane Band SawVictor O/A |
