I blew $1000 on a couple nice tools.

So I met this guy that deals in sheet metal machinery and he had these laying around for a while and gave me a great deal on them.  I got the Di-Acro rod parter for $100 and the Roper Whitney 3pc angle shear, notcher, and bender for $900.The quality of these is amazing!  I'm never buying an import tool again.  I can shear 1/4 round with my pinky and it's surprisingly easy to shear 9/16 rod (shown) .  I guess it's technically not shearing, it's "parting". but whatever it is, it's effing amazing!!The 3pc angle set is in really good shape despite its looks.  Someday I'll take it apart and clean it up. but for now it works great.  Just thought I'd share.B Attached ImagesLast edited by zora; 04-12-2011 at 02:14 AM.Reason: grammarars sine scientia nihil est

Reply:Kool, not sure what they are zactlee but look hell for stout. Oxymoron   blow $ on tools.  Impossible to do if they say USA on them.   I sense a movement which is now in full swing to find, repair, restore USA heavy duty industrial tools.  There are plenty around because of the manufacturing situation.  And it is a ~good thing~   WHEN the darned Chinese decide they can  over run us maybe it's the welders and home shops with the left over gear stashed who will be there to answer.
