Question about Lincoln Alum kits

I recently purchased a Lincoln Pro175 Plus to tinker around with at the house.  I want to start welding aluminum and was told the spool gun was the best way to go.  The 175 plus shows to have a kit that has a new spool reel and a hose liner.  Lincoln says the spool gun is not for this welder, does anyone know if one of their spool guns would work on the 175 plus?

Reply:Yes, a spool gun or a motorized pull gun would make MIG welding aluminum much easier if one were available for the Pro-MIG 175...but...it can be done without.     Make sure the cable is a straight as possible, I zip tie a length of PVC conduit to my torch cable to keep it straight.     Set your roller tension as loose as possible and still have the wire feed.   You should be able to stop the wire feeding by blocking it with your hand and the drive roller will slip rather than create a birdsnest.      Use 5356 wire, its stiffer than 4043 and feeds better.There are no small projects
