Hello all,I have an old Westinghouse Welder. It was used extensively by my stepfather to welded everything with it including broken teeth on a backhoe. I don't know much about welders, but I assume this one is heavy-duty and is fully functional the last I knew.I am looking for information on this welder and the approximate value of it.I am in Connecticut. How much should I sell it for? Any offers?Thank you.Mark Attached ImagesLast edited by jweston347; 10-24-2010 at 03:18 PM.
Reply:Assuming it's AC only, about 200 amps output, 220v single phase input, $75-$150 would be in the ball park, for anyone wanting to use it for welding. Could be worth more to a collector of old machinery, I suppose.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:Since it's a plug type machine and most likely AC, I'd probably set it a bit lower than DR did. Say $50-100. Probably welds great, but being older it won't have as much appeal to some. I've got an old Sears Craftsman unit thats similar to that, and didn't get much interest when I listed it last. Reply:Thank you for the feedback. What year would you put it? Mark
Reply:I will entertain bids, however, I reserve the right to refuse.I will also entertain any trade. I am a musician. I play 5-string banjo and guitar. I will consider a trade. Have you got a dusty banjo or guitar laying around? I could also use a good, reliable weed wacker with a sharp metal blade for cutting brush.Mark |
