I have in my possession the twelfth edition of The Procedure Handbook of Arc Welding I am wondering if there is a difference between this older copy and say a 2000 or 2006 copy of the same book.
Reply:Well no answer yet time to bump this back up to see if any one is looking.
Reply:The 12th edition hasn't been updated since 1973 or something like that. I don't know how old mine is. They may pick up on a typo or grammatical error as time goes on. I'd imagine if there were major updates and edits or adders they would make a 13th edition. Maybe there is a 13th edition .It's not something to worry about. Everything in there has got to be dead on. Don't know how old mine is, 80ish..

Reply:I am just wondering if Lincoln has changed anything in the past 34 years or if they added some color photos. The latest version is 14th edition and for sale from Lincoln for $25 and looks like it's leather bound.

Reply:Too bad local library's or book stores don't carry this book or we could have a look at it. I would expect that they would have some color photos in it and some update information in there regarding the various processes such as new angles or consumable materials.
Reply:I have the 14th edition. no color pics. I don't know what the 12th has in it, so no answer.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
