Lincoln SP-250

I found a guy wanting to sell his Lincoln SP-250.  Anyone heard of any major issues, guy says its in pretty good shape, and is asking 1100.  think its a fair price? since i lost a lot of my tools from the flood i thought this would be a good upgrade from the hobart 187 i had. here are some pics.
Reply:That is a NICE machine.  I have the wirematic 250 which has 2 knobs instead of the digital display.  Sweet welding machine.   HUGE imoprovment over your 187.DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:They are good machines.. I have 2 of them .. push them hard on a daily basis.. the only problem we have ever had was the panel backlight burnt out on one of them..other wise they work great...
Reply:Only faulty I can tell you about is: DO NOT TOUCH HOT WIRE TO THE KEYPAD. Once any damage happens to the control pad your machine will not operate. G2008 keypad from Lincoln $277. Reply:dad had one in our fab shop it was a good machine but not as good as the mm35 that was mine deff an upgrade from your old machine but not something i would buy myself
