Hey guys,I have the opportunity to get a production run of parts but they have to be TIG welded. There will also be aluminum in the future.I am looking for a TIG that will do the job now and in the future.I HAVE NO CASH.I do have an 88 F600 Truck, stake bed with a tailgate lift and 44K original miles. Gas engine, automatic. No CDL required to drive this.I would trade the truck for a good TIG setup.I REALLY want to get this welding job but will not be able to without a machine.I will have time to learn to TIG and have a friend to help me learn but no access to a machine (The friend no longer has his, he sold it when he retired last year).If anyone can help, please let me know.As always, thanks for all the help you guys provide.Bob Attached Images
Reply:Red-D-Arc rents/leases all sorts of welding equipment. Might want to call them and see what leasing a tig machine would cost. Reply:I've got the econotig I've been meaning to sell since I got the dynasty. Not sure I'm interested in the truck though. I'm not sure you're interesting in the econotig. It's a little small for any production jobs. I'm right down the road from you (between Caddo and Greenville). The econotig is pristine and includes everything that comes in the original package (regulator, foot pedal, torch, gas hose) but doesn't include a bottle.
