New to me idealarc 250

Picked up a idealarc 250 it a very nice welder welding with dc compered to ac is like night and day. I cant believe i waited so long to get a dc stick welder. it was a little rough on the outside, but inside was a little dusty but i cleaned it out and lube the gearsit has three sits of caps in it, two in the back by the fan and one in the front  a few questions how do you tell if it has the power factor caps in it? and where does the ground cable and work cable go from left to right? Reply:If I understand your question...the work lead ("ground") is on the left.
Reply:Ground cable on left, stinger cable on right.These machines are very good scratch start tig welders as well on dc- polarity. I use dc+ for all stick welding.Call lincoln and run your numbers by them to confirm your question on the power factor caps. Reply:I don't know what all the ++++++'s are, but keep 7018 at a real close arc gap. You virtually drag it touching the puddle. Take your time, wait for the puddle.City of L.A.
