On a plasma cutter, what does 2T and 4T mean?
Reply:That's a TIG machine setting. Is that an all-in-one that you're looking at? It's about how the TIG torch switch works. To over simplify, In 2T, push on, release off. In 4T push on, release ramp up, push ramp down, release off. The owners manual will go into more detail about how to set up your machine for this.
Reply:Its not just a tig machine thing.Migs also use it and i can see why you would use it on a plasma too.4T mode is useful if you have a long cut or weld to do as it saves you having to hold the trigger down the whole time.
