Reply:You got a nice machine! It will tig carbon steel, stainless, aluminum and most any thing else big or small.Do you have a water cooled torch? It will stick weld pretty smooth.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:thanks for the response David, could you give a little more detail on this. not sure about the water system but I will check it out. BTW this is a gift from a good friend, he bought a smaller tig, he travels around the north east putting on jousting tournyments and make's armour to use and sell. this unit was to big and requires to much power to run it. again thanks for the response Jthe gorilla that made it hold Ranger 8 15 yrs old SP150 mig 25 yrs old several Victor sets Snap On 130 mig 25 yrs old Lincoln 225 buzz box SA200 F163 78 mdl they all work just added a Idealarc 250/250
Reply:If you dont have a manual for your Tig 250/250, go here to the Lincoln website to download one:http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...ualsearch.aspxYou will need the model name, and most important the code number. If that's an IdealArc Tig 250/250, that's a great machine. I have an IdealArc Tig 300/300, and it's an easy to use solid machine for tigging most anything, and stick weldingJeffLINCOLN IdealArc Tig 300/300LINCOLN SP135+ MigNAPA buzz boxHARRIS Oxy-Acetylene Torch SetMILLER and Harbor Freight AD HelmetsHarbor Freight Tig, Plasma & Spot |
