Reply:I've had Air Gas try to screw me even with an account. Regional rep was a friend of a friend and set me up with fixed price for O2 and acetylene. I went to a different branch and my price went from $32 to $140. When I called him on it the counter monkey said that was the price. I said checks account and his face almost fell off from being caught. Reply:As all of these posted threads on gas goes, location does matter. My local guy is $40.00 for a 150 exchange. Post your location for pricing near you.
Reply:I'm in pittsboro nc if anyone knows a mom and pop shop that would be helpful
Reply:Funny, just called today for a price check. $42, 120 size argon exchange.

Reply:Wow! What is your next thread gona say, is 10$ over paying for a pound of 70s2 or 30$ for a pound of 309 from airgas? We just told you not to shop at airgas. You must be a little impatient. If you bought the tank and own it now you can take it anywhere and exchange it, for a better price that is. I pay 65$ for a 336. That 3x's the argon for 1/3rd of the price. That's with out a account
Reply:I bought one off craigslist the guy says he bought it from airgas he doest know what size it is but from a little research online I believe it's possibly bigger then a 125cfAnd yeah I'm impatient :/ my tig welder is coming in soon and Im excited to try itLast edited by Cesarpal; 09-01-2015 at 11:31 AM.

Reply:I pay ~$200 (cdn) per fill for a rented 248 argon tank. That's the cheapest price I have found in town. Most expensive distributor is $300 per tank. Stuff's expensive up here. A gallon of milk costs more than gasoline, LOL!
Reply:Your about an hour southeast of where I'm at. Look for a machine&welding supply or Roberts oxygen near you. They're bigger than mom n pop but not out to bend anyone over.looked in to it a bit deeper and m&w supply merged with arcet they are now arc3 gasses, there's one in Burlington and Sanford.Last edited by Austin Bennett; 09-01-2015 at 11:20 PM.Thermal arc 211iCk flex-loc 150 & 130Clamps, saws & grindersHarbor freight 80 amp inverter

Reply:I went to arc3 in sanford it was way cheaper BUT they ended up giving me tank smallet then the one I had brought in they said it was the same size they charged me for a 150 for like 34 bucks. It was about 5 inches shorter then mine I think |
