Interesting opinion on the Dynasty 280

Reply:it could be from yesterday, Miller seems to always put stuff out that has not been fully tested and after a bunch of complaints and sales slow down because of complaints they fix it with blue lightning or some other form of deceptive rebuilding and leave original purchasers holding the bag on a inferior machine, been burned twice by miller never again, Lincoln from here on out or ESAB maybe even a ??? that said I do have some miller stuff that is good but I won't purchase anymore till they clean up there act. I hope ITW scans web sights and starts seeing the errors of there ways, miller customer service is good but it doesn't fix a flawed product, I would rather not know how customer service is and just sell something that works as should
Reply:I'm not trying to get ugly just saying been burned 2 times in the last 10 yrs by miller other than that my xmt is a nice machine and my millermatic wire feed I bought 25 yrs ago works great, dynasty doesn't have a nice arc quality like other machines ive used I was going to upgrade a few yrs. ago and tried the blue lightning not much if any difference from my 2003 model 200dx, other trainwreck was a syncro sputter 250, replaced by pt275, I think miller has there stuff together on field inverters xmt cst s but they push products out door to soon with out testing

Reply:I got a quote from a web based dealer here that the machine was available . Im guessing the dude just said that to not look bad (not being able to stock the machine) or is there something really going on?

Reply:I too think the info was old. The testing is done, and ready for the masses. I have one in my shop for demo and have beat it up pretty good. Reply:I like & love Dynasty 280 Series, is a powerful combination of capability and portability.  Torch body includes an anti-rotation feature and multi-position locking to prevent handle movement during welding and improve operator control and Tailored arc control (DIG) allows the arc characteristic to be changed for specific applications and electrodes. Smooth running 7018 or stiffer, more penetrating 6010.
Reply:Yeah Steve, my SoCal Miller rep was chosen to place a unit in a shop and he wanted me. The Weldcraft guy even showed up with the 280 torch mockup. I still have it mounted on a Dyn350. But Miller yanked the project and reworked the internals of the machineI was told. I guess they also decided to offer the CPS version. It took 2 years before they finally became available, and so I ordered one. But instead my rep dropped his salesman's sample off with me and I still have it. He was supposed to pick it up 2 weeks ago.
