I have a Hitachi 14" chop saw, and I have a problem with cutting 45 degree angles. When placed in the 45 degree position, the blade doesn't actually square up with the square tubing I am cutting (1.5" 16 gauge) and I end up having to bend/break it off by hand (maybe a small piece about 1/8 inch in the corner is not cut through) and clean up using an angle grinder. Am I just doing something wrong? This is the first chop saw I've owned and I'm surprised if the manufacturer would make such a glaring error in design.
Reply:Sounds like it might be time for a new blade, if the current one isnt "big" enough to "eat" through that last little bit of tubing. They get smaller as you use them.Another thing, you might have to move the solid stop on your vise forward a little bit, or a hole, if thats how its set up.[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. Reply:Dont push the saw through the cut either, it will make the blade try to walk around and give you a crooked cut.

I don't have accuracy problems with my Milwaukee chop saw, it's plenty accurate. These 45 cuts were right off the saw, no cleaning up was done to them.
