Anyone know anything about this Tig machine?

Reply:its only a power source for a little $$ more buy a lincoln or miller complete welding set up..Of all the things I lost I miss my mind the most...I know just enough about everything to be dangerous......You cant cure stupid..only kill it...
Reply:I paid about the same for my Lincoln Tig, which did include a torch, pedal, etc. (but no stick electrode holder) but after reading the specs it seems like the Esab is a better, or at least more versatile, machine.The only thing it looked like the Lincoln has that the Esab does not is pulse.  In the picture it shows it on the board but the knob is blanked out, so I guess that is on a more expensive machine.  I haven't even used the pulse on my machine yet, it is freq. adjustable only.  You cannot change the background current, % on time, etc.

Reply:Soutthpaw,You can NEVER have too much machine. ANd a machine that needs a 100amp power supply can be dialed down so as not to exceed a 50amp circuit. I just wanted to say that. because you can have too LITTLE machine. Reply:Justin,That is a great tig welder.  It's on a par with the Miller Syncrowave 250 or the Lincoln 275.ESAB actually bought the old L-Tec who owned the patent rights to the original Heliarc machines.
