What are your LWS hours?

It seems that every welding supply store is closed saturday and sunday around here, is everyone elses like that in their area? It really sucks cause I don't get off till 5 and they close at 5 which means I have to leave early to get anything i need.Miller Maxstar 200 SDPiperliner #10 Gold

Reply:You could order your stuff online. The ones in portland oregon are all closed on the weekends and close around 5pm I'm pretty sure

Reply:You have to call BEFORE you go to the Ma / Pa shop I go to DURING THE WEEKDAY !   They do it all themselves. That's a reason to have multiple tanks on hand. I take a bunch when I go for exchanges.

Reply:One LWS here is closed weekends and holidays......and 4PM weekdays! If I wasn't retired I'd apply for a job there :
Reply:Deffinetly get a 336 tank, 125 is way to small, it's a good portable tank that's it unless you only weld a few times a year. I'm gona get a 336 helium bottle here soon. Not to mention gas is way cheaper filling a 336 compared to a 125. I put a 336 in a Honda civic trunk by myself to go get it exchanged

Reply:All of mine close at 5 and no Saturday hours steel yards are the same. I have northern tool but they sell mostly homeowner Welding supplies. Reply:My lws is an hour away, but is open til noon on sat. The good news is that my local Napa stocks for them and keeps the stuff I like in stock along with most gasses. Reply:My LWS is 50 feet from my front door and I got the key. I guess I am the lucky one, maybe, maybe not. Those phone calls at midnight on Saturday needing mig wire or some C25 to get the car ready for the race on Sunday.But its all good, I like helping people out.
