4 way splitter wedge 2.0

Based on some of the posts in my original thread, I've cut the wings back about an inch and knife edged them thinner.I knife edged the leading blade thinner as well.It now cuts just fine and doesn't stall out.  The wood cracks before it hits the two wings and works as it should.I don't slip it on when I pick up a piece of oak with obvious multiple knots in it, those slow down the machine with a single blade The hook that keeps it on the wedge also serves to hang it on the catch table when not in use - overall pleased with the wedge now After a few hours with it I've watched how often I put it on, about 1/3 of the wood is the right size for it.  Pieces too big to cut into 4 pieces are easier to split and handle leaving it off.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.

Have seen 4 way blades before, but dont like the cost, and didnt want to modify the existing blade. Fitover/slip-on attachment is genius.
