Reply:The electronics is only one part. The design of the torch head is a great deal of engineering. The air of in some cases gas or combination of gasses have to swirl very rapidly to support the plasma stream. The design of the electrode is another... Initial plasma designs used two gases and tungsten as the electrode. Air systems use hafnium. You might get a plasma stream but how long will the consumables last and what is the duty cycle of the electronics.... It is a good project if you are into designing things but you are not working with low voltages. They are better than low... they can be lethal voltages.
Reply:i got a perfectly good thermal dynamics plasma torch im not using i switched to a newer style id sell ya lol.I forgot how to change this.

Reply:I'm sure it will produce a plasma arc.....however there is no real current control and no electrical isolation for the guy holding the torch. I suspect it will cut some 26 gauge or so....just be careful not to get electrocuted!Jim
