I'm looking to buy a new one.  Would like to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly.Cutting sheet metal and cars apart as a hobby.  Not full-time use.Need to stick with 110v for house garage.I did search the site, but info was a bit out of date and want to get the latest.Looks like $1100 or so is the buy on them. Thanks to all who respond.Layne
Reply:hyper therm power max 30 hands down it about the size of a toaster. can be used with both 110 or 220.2-Lincoln idealarc 250/250, lincoln 225 ac/dc welder, lincweld ac 180c, hobart handler 210, hobart stickmate lx 235/160, Hypertherm Powermax30local 26 I.B.E.W Electrician
Reply:X2I just bought one for $1060 right from their site. Haven't really used it a lot, but seems like a very good unit.kidtigger24  They think I’m crazy, but I know better. It is not I who am crazy. It is I who am MAD!
Reply:I just bought the Powermax 30 last week and really like it.
Reply:My Lincoln (now extinct and cost too mch in the first place compared to other better units) has 110 and 220. I quickly learned the 220 worked much better.  God clean DRY air lots of it and more juice and  it cuts ~like buttah~.  good luck.Last edited by PapaLion; 09-20-2011 at 09:48 AM.Lincoln Power MIG 215Lincoln WeldPak 3200HDLincon ProCut 25Lincoln WeldanPower 225 AC/DCIf all else fails... buy more tools
Reply:I picked up  a Power max 30 two weeks ago, very nice unit 110/220. I still have my Hobart 250ci. it is a 110. The Hobart did its job very well up to 1/4" and as time went on I needed a little more power.
