Hello,I have a five year old SP 135 that we use in the field for light welding. While doing some light welding it suddenly lost output power. Regardless of the output setting it puts out a very weak arc; about the same level as shorting two 115vac wires together.Any ideas?Thank You,Jim Robinson
Reply:Jim,The manual troubleshooting guide primarily points to the gun tip (worn), damaged gun/work cable or bad work ground however I suspect a failed output diode D1-4 could result in what you've described. Here's the troubleshooting section out of the SP-135 Plus manual for you to refer to in trying to figure out what's going on. Double check all your cable connections and open it up to check for loose ones as well. Beyond that I'm afraid I can't help you much.
