I have a chance at buying a LincWelder 225 engine driven welder. It has the CCKA Onan engine on it that has had one spark plug removed & sitting out in the open for several years.Item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120341681308Anyway, I know I will have to replace the engine on it, was wondering how much trouble it would be to replace with a engine that turns at 3600 RPM for 60 Htz output? I understand (from reading most of the threads here) that it has a tapered output shaft that mates with the generator & probably would need a front support bearing for the generator & tapered shaft adapter.I'm thinking of getting it & finding a Honda or Kohler engine for it. Any ideas? Good deal or too much work to put the time into?MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build
