Hi yall, I was at the scrape yard the other day and came across two little forklifts with continental engines in them. One was burnt up the other had the head missing but other than that they were complete. I got a red seal manifold for 8 bucks. About 40 cents a pound Then he showed me a lincoln sa-200 welder that he said the engine was good ,but the welder was'nt. He said 40 cents a pound for it I don't what a sa-200 weights but I thought 1050 lbs. seemed heavy I was thinking 5to6 hundred lbs. I never saw him weight it.for a parts machine is $420 high ? Its about a 58 to 63 model F-163 the plate on the engine is missing. thanks for any info.
Reply:He's right in the ballpark on the weight of an SA 200.
Reply:If ya got the cash buy it. A new govorner costs about that. If you can use a few parts off of it it will pay for it self. Heck, it might not take much to get it welding.Mack |
