You always need cutting oil..Soluable oil mix...Etc. when making parts in a lathe or Bridgeport...Right?Well unless the machine has it's own coolant system you need lubrication/coolant at some point in time..Most times it's in a coffee can or whatever you have...And it can and will tip over and leave a big mess to deal with..SIMPLE solution to this is a big magnet!Get one that fits inside the can and just put it on the bottom and fill with your favorite liquid then place the can or whatever on the machine table or compound on the lathe and no more tipping over..Here is my fancy cookie can..Soluable oil is in the gallon jug..Magnet in front..Magnet in the can..And there you have it! Works like a charm!...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Plastic shampoo bottles are also great for lube oil and solvents.   The little squeeze bottles from my wife's hair color kit's are a nice size for air tool oil.   (I give her gray hair in return)
Reply:I just thought of doing this the other day and here you post it. Ha, wierd. I use contact lense solution bottles for some fluids and just a little stainless cup with acid brush for lathe.
