Sankofa..................

I received a call on my new cell phone...... the request was to build and install an African Symbol called a Sankofa........I Google searched it and found out what it was and what it meant...... Reply:Interesting ornament. I was drooling over that piece of metal and just wanting cut it myself.On a side note: you really need an outrigger on your bandsaw. I have the same one. Had it dialed in to cut straight and square. Then I had to move it out of the way and it tipped over. I cant get it to cut rite now. More importantly, its dangerous for your little one without the outrigger or longer axle under the motor. Theres info out there about mods to correct the problem. One mod was using a 2x4 to xtend the axle.  My friends said it fell over due to alcohol . At least I have an xcuse. Seriously, do yourself a favor and xtend the axle under the motor to prevent it from tipping over.BTW, I was also drooling over the metal used for the cattle guards.  Did you do the cattle guards also? Reply:Nice ! That little model is gonna cost you $1,000,000.00 by the time shes 20 ! That is if you are lucky ! For some outside nut bolt jobs it isn't too much to go for stainless. Makes it easy if they want to remove to paint fence later.I made a new base for My HF band saw after I set it up to find it was about 8'' too low. It will be easier on your back and much safer too.

Reply:Thanks all......I'll be upgrading my bandsaw as one of my next purchases....... Probably the swivel head unit from Grizzly......I didn't do the cattle guard...... It was all there already....... They don't have any large animals..... Just dogs and peacocks is all I saw.......I'm not sure what the weight is but I used a motorcycle jack to lift into place........My model is expensive......... She currently wants a horse.......
