I have sold my Bobcat 225g welded great big mistake story of my life selling and regretting later but wanted to step up any know about the Miller Pipe Pro 304 has Kubota 3 cylinder under 3500 hours pics show a little oil on engine I do not know much about these but have heard of board problems and the guy said if it need one he would split the cost but that was at his price now we are down under 2500. is it it worth the risk and travel time to pick up about 9 hours from home .
Reply:I ran a Pipe Pro about 12-years ago at Millers testing facility in North West Chicago. I dont remember a whole lot about it, do remember it had a nice arc with 6010. If I was going to make a living with this machine. I wouldnt touch it, Id buy new. Nothing more embarrassing than being run off a job site because your welder is broke down. Reply:No way in hell I would drive that far to get a machine if dude is talking about going halvsies with you on a burned up board this machine may or may not have.Or so that's how I'm reading it. Hours aren't terrible, price isn't bad if it runs and welds with no problems.Personally, it's a LONG ways to drive to harbor even the slightest doubts. Really suck to get all the way there to have it dropped on you that "It worked fine yesterday when I started it up" but now it doesn't want to run, or weld.I would be very sure of what I was buying before making that long a drive for something.IMHO of courseExpert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948
Reply:Are you out of your mind???Oops. Sorry Apollo1 that was kinda rude of me. Let me rephrase that...Are you out of your mind??? 18 hours round trip for a questionable deal? Unless of course I missed something...I would keep looking. Good luck. Terry

Reply:I have run a pipe pro years ago I was not super impressed. It was. High rpm diesel that was screaming if he says he will go in half on a new board I would be concerned. I have traveled for machines before but I would not travel 18 hours on something that your taking his word on. When you get home and it dies you can't just stop by his place to pick up the half of the money for the board.
