just bought a weldpak 100, this will be my 2nd machine and it will not feed wire. took apart and i am not getting power to the feed motor when the trigger is pulled. if i hook the motor up to 12v, it works fine. guy i bought it from ordered a new circuit board for it and i replaced that and no change. when tracing power backwards, the blue capacitor that powers the motor has no voltage there. any help on what to check? thanks for help
Reply:Does the gas solenoid work when you press the trigger? The most common thing to fail is probably the fan motor. The fan has a 24V transformer wound into it that powers the PC board. Should be wires 214 and 213.

Reply:I had this problem with my 175, I wasnt getting power to feeder motor. Fan would work, solenoid would click, but no wire would feed. I called a tech for lincoln and he asked me a bunch of questions, he said it sounded like the circuit board. I was about to gonna buy one, but it ended up being the heat control dial (or the dial that sets the amps). it has 4 different positions and it was not in the detent mark. I have heard that if the amp out put dial is bad, that it will not feed wire either. Move the dial switch to a different position, try this and hope it helps.
Reply:solenoid works, fan works, just not getting power to the drive motor. will check the things you guys suggest and will let you know. thanks very muchbill
