Here is another plate/winch bumper I just finished up. I did this in trade for a 65 VW Baja bug. which will be a soon to be project. I really need to build bumpers for my OWN F250.1/4" main plate/winch mount, 3/16 everywhere else. 3/4" shackle mounts/shackles.Bumper weighed in at 125lbs without the winch after weld/blend Attached ImagesLast edited by sausage450r; 08-18-2014 at 01:10 AM.'14 HTP invertig 221Thermal Arc 201ts'15 HTP 2400'13 Hypertherm Powermax 30Esab 875Esab 251Clark Metal Servicespecializing in stainless steel exhaust systems

Reply:You are going to have to add a leaf up front to hold up that boat anchor. I would call it the Prius killer.
Reply:Looks like a sturdy setup to me. While you're at it have him allow you to strengthen/reinforce the area where the steering gear mounts. Large tires on those liked to bust the frame where the box mounts. Most times, (especially with a big block) you could oscillate the steering wheel a bit off center while looking at the steering gear and watch the frame twist. 3/8ths plate on the inside of the frame did a nice job shoring it up but there were also aftermarket brackets vendored for the same purpose.SlobPurveyor of intimate unparalleled knowledge of nothing about everything.Oh yeah, also an unabashed internet "Troll" too.....
