What type of fuel should we use in the older SA-200 gas welders? Unleaded or unleaded with a lead additive. I'm using unleaded fuel with a lead additive to be safe. Like to know, would it be damaging to use unleaded fuel in an older SA-200 gas welder? I imagine the welders that were build during the switch to unleaded fuel may be able to use unleaded gas but that is just a guess. Thanks for your replies in advance.6GR
Reply:If its an older model and youve got the additive Id use it. Ive got my lincoln sa 200 on the back of my 1952 ford truck and they both get a shot of lead additive every fill up. Those old flatheads love the lead additive My vintage equipment 1957 Lincoln sa 2001980's Lincoln 225 AC1952 F-2 ford truck1957 F-250 ford truck
Reply:I've always ran unleaded in the sa's, no problems yet.Hillbilly Fabworks
Reply:It really shouldn't matter. First it will wear in, then it will wear out, no matter what fuel you put in it.David Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor. |
