Iam trying to repair an old weldan power the problem i am having is that it will strike an arc but willnot weld the generator works well i have tried adjusting rpms with no sucess.the governor seems to let the rpm drop alittle but not a lot

Reply:agfab,I have a Weldan 225 with a briggs&stratton,it started doing almost the same thing.I rebuilt the carb changed the filter,to findout that it was rust in the gas tank.I pulled the tank got some tank sealer from a motorcycle shop sealed it and end of problum,my not be but worth a look. |
